Here are just some of the trends we’ve seen on the catwalk for this fall;
The Cape
Alexander Wang, Anna Sui, Rag & Bone
The Key-Item this fall comes in all shapes and variations. In addition to a single-coloured one(beige, cognac, brown, mustard?) you can have a grapich, etnic or indian inspired design. We’ve been seing lots of ponchos on the strees, and it seemes like the designers have been paying attention to this.
Americana;
This style has lasted for a while, but continues this fall. Boots, suede, 70s inspired jackets, knitwear with interesting textures and leatherbags with fringes.
Tuxedo Dressing;
Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, Ralph Lauren
The White shirt, black bottom and black neckpiece. So far Fall 2011 is filled with pleny of borrowed-from-the-boys attire. Alexander wang took a sheer bib-front dress with leather trousers, Prabal Gurung in a cummerbund and feminine blouse, Ralph Lauren went all the way with a head-to-toe suit with sexy shoes.
Metallic;
Bora Aksu, Stella McCartney, Jenny Packham
Gold, silver and cobber is in, expecially with earthcolours. If you don’t want to go all the way, just do it with shoes, a bag, or some shiny jewlery. Doing a simple shiny dress like Jenny Packham is good too.
Minimalism;
Calvin Clein, Jil Sander, Celine
It’s now even simpler with cleaner cuts and less details. Pure and simple, less is still more.
Snakeskin;
Chloe, Prada, Missoni Collections
Snakeskin is in! The reptile-pattern is in as never before, so forget zebra and leopard.
Polka Dots;
Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg
When Marc Jacobs AND Diane Von Furstenberg uses the same print, you know it’s a trend. If head-to-toe patterned looks isn’t you, just try a blouse or a scarf to spice up your outfit.
Bright Pants;
Yigal Azrouël, Karen Walker, Philip Lim
I think my favourite trend. This is an easy way to make the winter’s dark layers look fun and fresh! I bought a pink and a purple pair of pants this summer, and I’m glad to see that the trend is continuing.
There will be more of this… there’s a lot of cool clothing this fall!

I really lik your blog. It’s great to keep track of what’s going on in fashion. I’m a bit too lazy to always scroll through the fashion shows but sometimes I love it.
I love those capes on the first picture.
